What is a barefoot shoe?

Barefoot is a type of minimalist footwear designed according to the shape of the foot and which allows the feet to move naturally.

For a shoe to be considered 100% barefoot, it must have a foot-shaped toe box and a hard, thin , flexible and malleable sole . The sole should not have any elevation in the heel area ( zero drop ).

What is respectful footwear?

Respectful footwear is a type of minimalist footwear that, like barefoot footwear, allows the feet to move naturally.

A respectful shoe may not have all the characteristics of a barefoot shoe (e.g. having a more rounded toe ), but continue to have other characteristics, such as: zero drop and a hard , thin , flexible and malleable sole.
