Barefoot: Wear shoes that are respectful of children

Respectful shoes allow children to develop the natural shape of their feet and thus have a solid base to support a growing and moving body.

Children's feet bones, as they are still growing, are affected by the shape of conventional shoes, which have very narrow toes. These shoes often also have a small elevation in the heel (drop) that causes an unbalanced load distribution, affecting body posture. All this combined can lead to muscle weakness in children's lower limbs.

To counter this trend, respectful shoes emerged to (1) allow children to exercise all their muscles, simulating walking barefoot, developing strong and healthy feet; (2) to prevent the emergence of injuries and pathologies and (3) to reinforce children's body awareness.

You can find our selection of barefoot and respectful footwear for children in the BABIES and KIDS tabs.
