At SHUZ | for barefoot lovers we are of the opinion that there is a clear difference between barefoot shoes and respectful shoes.
Conventional footwear has completely altered our feet, so most of us have shoe-shaped feet, which is not their natural shape. In contrast, barefoot shoes were designed to imitate the natural shape of the feet, allowing for no restriction of movement.
For us, there is one feature that makes all the difference when we have to distinguish a barefoot shoe from a respectful one.
The tip of the shoe!If the shoe has a toe that doesn't match the natural shape of the foot, we consider it to be respectful footwear.
To be 100% barefoot you must have the following characteristics: wide and anatomical toe box (shaped like a foot); zero drop and hard, thin , flexible , malleable and torsionable sole . In this type of footwear we can also find other characteristics that we highly value, such as the absence of anatomical elements and the presence of minimal or removable insoles.
